After being completely and totally fucking BARRAGED with news and memes about the Coronavirus Covid-19 thing, I think it’s safe to say I’m in overload mode. I literally feel like if I hear one more thing about this I’m going to scream. At this point, I’d welcome an earworm a la “Who Let the Dogs Out” or “If You Wanna Be My Lover” over hearing about empty grocery stores and quarantines. However, this is what’s happening right now, and so we all have to make the best of a shit situation.

Unless you’ve been blessed to be living in the forest with a lack of human contact (and thus not falling prey to the biblical throwing of elbows that’s currently going down in the shops), then you don’t need a refresher as to what the fuck is going on, but it’s safe to say that there are plenty of bitches right now in full-on THE SKY IS FALLING mode.
That being said, it looks as if there is going to be one helluva rough ride for parents all over the place, as spring break seems to be getting extended in many areas, with cautions to self-isolate. This means that you’re probably stressed out, financially strapped, and worst of all, trapped with those feral little monsters in less-than ideal circumstances. Thoughts and prayers, fam.
While I’m not a huge fan of putting the pressure on yourself to be a homeschool teacher or full time circus clown in order to keep your little rugrats occupied, I figured I’d compile a list of resources for the end of the world here (*tongue-in-cheek since I cant touch my face*) because I know that if those little bastards are gonna be around anyways, they sure as fuck are easier if they’re occupied.

Grow Forage Cook Ferment has free resources
Go follow Suburban Salt on Instagram to learn to live off your Yard
Big City Gardener can teach you how to grow and prepare food from your garden
Epic Gardening Will teach you how to grow your own food even in suburban spaces

Above all else, DON’T FUCKING PANIC
If you’re the kinda bitch that shares memes about kindness then this is your time to put your money where your mouth is. Be a helper, give back, help others, and above all else- don’t be a cunt! Look after your family, sure, but not at the expense of taking more than you need away from others. Staying calm and remaining positive and finding the golden kernel of humanity in a vast pile of shit is truly where your mindset needs to be.
ALSO NOTABLE:
Don’t feel responsible to educate and nonstop entertain your kids. Your WHOLE FAMILY does not need that pressure. They will need you and you need to be at your best. So fuck mom guilt, stay high-vibe and BE GENTLE WITH YOURSELF.
Mental Health and Coping During Covid-19 from the CDC
ALSO REMEMBER:
Laugh often
Murder is illegal
Don’t be a cunt
Try to have fun!

I really appreciated reading this, even though I don’t own rugrats. LOL! New, News, News, News is hard to F’ing escape, that’s for sure. Meanwhile as the world goes into an epic meltdown, my biggest concern is finding a store that hasn’t been ransacked of their toilet paper. Hell, can’t even order online, everyone is out! WTF????
What I thought was nice was my mental health facility contacted me this morning just to simply check on how I was feeling. The gentleman that I spoke to was down to earth, not panicked stricken, just doing a job. We agreed, it would probably be easier to find toilet paper on the island that Tom Hanks was stuck on for several years.
Anyway, great post, really enjoyed!!
